Food he.ro is the first Latino-led culinary school that builds culinary confidence through resources for Latinos who are either new in the food industry or are interested in starting a food business. These range from street vendors, bakers, catering services, restaurants and consumer packaged goods.

Adult education programs at the Regenstein School include art classes and garden design workshops for pure enjoyment, certificate programs, and professional development classes. Discover classes and workshops in botanical arts, horticulture, gardening, cooking, nature and birding, photography, garden design, and professional programs.

The Puerto Rican Cultural Center, founded in 1972, is a 50 year+ old organization that has been foundational to the creation of Paseo Boricua, as it is known— the economic, political, and cultural capital of the Puerto Rican community in the Midwest. It encapsulates the historical efforts of the same to resist gentrification through efforts such as the establishment of Puerto Rico Town. As part of Chicago's Puerto Rican Agenda, it contributes to organizing relief efforts after Hurricanes Irma and Maria, especially in Loiza and Comerio.

The Community as a Campus initiative fosters a culturally relevant, community-centered approach to education. We partner with local schools, families, and institutions to provide academic enrichment that reflects the lived experiences and histories of Puerto Rican and other marginalized communities. From early childhood through postsecondary pathways, our programs ensure students are not only learning, they are thriving in spaces that honor their identity and heritage.
